I didn't say that the Heuer had a redial, but there has been redials for sale at your shop and thats why I stopped following your auctions. Does your friend have anything to do with your business? I'm quite sure that the watch was auctioned under your name? Or do you have similar names?
No.
Nothing to do with me or my business.
Usernames are no where near the same.
If a watch is a redial I say it is, or say I am not 100% sure.

Hi Mick,

Great to have you here.
I don't know how to look at finished auctions for like 6months back in time.. But there were two objects that I had some interest in, could have been 6-8 months ago. One of these was a redial and that was so obvious that no one working with watches could have missed, not even you. I did send two questions regarding these objects but I got no response at all. I thought then and I'm thinking now that the answer didn't occur because I apparently wasn't your buyer...

I think that one of the objects were an Heuer, probably a "orange boy".

But if you say that I'm wrong, I sure hope so! When looking at your auctions today I can't see anything suspicious which is good 馃榾

Mick has given his response, if you want to discuss this further I suggest you take it off line.

Thanks.
I am happy with open criticism but
If anyone is suspicious or dubious about any of my lots for sale I invite them to get in touch, I don't mind being fully transparent about anything regarding my sales.
Cheers Mick

Isn't this a forum that allows discussion? Especially when it's in favor of the users?

It does but so far you've made some vague mention of selling redialed watches and claimed that either he or someone with a similar name (I'm guessing general*vintage as twice before people have gotten him confused with Mick) might have sold a Heuer.

There's no "especially" about it.

Well informed, accurate and friendly discussion - yes, regardless of who is a buyer or seller. (Plenty of people here are both).

General aspersions or reputation damaging comments without detail or appropriate research - no.

This may be the internet but let's keep the standard of critical analysis up and out of the schoolyard.

I have reviewed the list of bidders provided by Mick (the seller), and my reaction is as follows.

While it certainly does appear that there are three unrelated and established bidders who have driven up the price of the watch, I still find the bidding to be quite odd. I say that not only because of the (inflated) value placed on the watch, but because three seemingly unrelated bidders were willing to go to extremes well before the end of the auction.

I have no reason to believe that Mick is in any way involved in an effort to inflate the price, but whatever the explanation, I remain skeptical that this bidding accurately reflects the market value of the watch.

Regards,

Tony C.

I've seen some pretty epic takedowns!

Every mod here goes through 2 weeks of intense training on internet jujitsu. The best part of that is the offender NEVER taps out and we get to go Bruce Lee on them. :whipped:
