    Jokes aside, I think someone has tried to "restore it a bit" by applying black paint in worn sections.

    I don't see the paint, but that picture (and my eye) are not the best.

    Anyway - not uncommon to see the edges of the numbers obscured a bit on the outer or inner ring.

    Not recommending it by any stretch, but it looks better than many that have sold for hundreds.

    It went from £0.99 to £697 in 10 hours. Still just less than a week to go. These prices are actually bonkers.

    There is a worse condition one on German ebay for EUR 1,200 :(

    Prices are just stupid, so glad I bought up a couple of them early last year for my various Speedys

    I would not bother about these cut numerals on the edge. This is common and I have seen plenty of DON bezels with these cut numerals.
