... and the prices move ever skyward. Could anyone please explain why the numbers are partially obscured on this one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351443534711?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Thank you, DT.
They even have a "but it now" option Jokes aside, I think someone has tried to "restore it a bit" by applying black paint in worn sections.
I don't see the paint, but that picture (and my eye) are not the best. Anyway - not uncommon to see the edges of the numbers obscured a bit on the outer or inner ring. Not recommending it by any stretch, but it looks better than many that have sold for hundreds.
It went from £0.99 to £697 in 10 hours. Still just less than a week to go. These prices are actually bonkers.
There is a worse condition one on German ebay for EUR 1,200 Prices are just stupid, so glad I bought up a couple of them early last year for my various Speedys
I would not bother about these cut numerals on the edge. This is common and I have seen plenty of DON bezels with these cut numerals.
I confess, there are some strange things in the unique world of Speedy collectors I'll never understand...
