Difficult to tell anything until a competent watchmaker disassembles it, cleans it, and looks for signs of wear. From a collector's perspective, the movement is dirty, some of the screws are marked up, and there appears to be case corrosion. Not sure any of these would be a deal breaker if I otherwise liked the watch, but you have to weigh all the factors and decide for yourself. Keep in mind that parts are generally not available for 30 mm calibers.

I think the movement looks in pretty good condition for its age, no major signs of rust or wear and the copper plating is nice and even. Obviously it’s impossible to know from a picture if it works well or if it needs a service.

First question you might want to ask is: Does it run? Knowing something about its operational state is probably more important than how it looks in one pic.

Thanks for reply. How badly does corrosion like that impact on value?

Ask for proof of service - don't take their word for it.

It may not be corrosion. Could be hardened grime (dust, skin cells, etc...) from years of neglect (worn regularly and put away dirty). It's difficult to say much without examining the watch in person.

BTW, the case screws are different sizes. Don't know if it left the factory that way or not. Again, these aren't necessarily problems.
