Let's hope @Bushido 's wife has started a new trend....

Mrs Superdoc was invited to a lady's only event in NYC this week... ("Omega her time")

I send her with $$ to buy herself a new watch...
She told me that she bought herself a new Globemaster...
Excited and impressed with her choice... you can't imagine my reaction when I open the box and see this....

That's awesome man, excellent choice both on the watch front and the wife front.

Is this one Ti / Sedna like the Apollo 11 45th?

That's the thing there was no Globemaster...
It was another tale of subterfuge...

(Admittedly I just wanted to use the word "subterfuge".. I've been trying to work it into every conversation for the last couple of weeks...)

Congrats! My wife thinks all my watches look the same. Therefore, she has specific instructions to not buy me a watch, because I'm too picky to be satisfied by her random choices. Although she might just buy me something I already have too.

Remember before you rush, there is a reason why a Divorce is so expensive.

    Because its worth it.

Mine likes to receive watches for presents, but I think she really doesn't care about watches at all, at least not my watches. I´ve been wearing my GSOTM since tuesday and she hasn't noticed.
Maybe she just appreciate the gesture of me getting her a present. Last year she returned the favor and gave me this one as a birthday present. I like the looks a lot, but I believe she payed a lot of money for just a pretty watch. I appreciate te gesture though it is very nice.

You make me remind a similar experience, I got rob and the thief stole one of my favorites watches, two months later was my birthday and my wife gave me as present a watch, a quartz Tissot V8 (not as good as the one your wife gave you), I like vintage Tissots but this new model is not my thing, of course I said thanks, I said I loved, etc….. 2 years later she asked me why I never wear the Tissot…. I just couldn’t hide it any more, I confessed that I didn’t like the watch and asked her not to buy watches for me as I don’t buy shoes for her (I did that in the past with terrible results)

In fairness to wives everywhere... it's not like she randomly walked into a store and picked out a watch...

They do kind of know me at that boutique... ;)

I had decided that the ck2998 no longer interested me... so I told her to use the deposit to get herself something...

Of course you know the rest...

It also means that another ck2998 is open and available at the boutique... it was #1026 and had just arrived, so the production run is far from over...

Wow she's a time "keeper"! Mine won't bother wearing any watch I've bought her and leaves it in the glove compartment only to rattle around and look like it's getting great wear. I love her dearly, but if she somehow switched her view on watches I'd re-marry her all over again =)

On the "subterfuge" thing... I have a similar thingy going on with "ubiquitous"...

And sometimes we play BS bingo with my officemate and come up with a word or phrase that the other one has to use in the next meeting. His last one was "budget stewardship" :D.

Oh forgot to mention: nice watch, I like the fact that it's not too ubiquitous...:)

A quick observation..... when somebody is murdered, the first person the police suspect is the victim's spouse. That should tell you all you need to know. :D
