    Hi folks

Looking for guidance on the approach to open the following.

    image.jpg 1A1E1863-999E-492E-8CDC-6CD8C6A4984F.jpeg A7944ED8-7716-4C2F-A2A0-9350951ABB97.jpeg CA9DFFAC-581F-4FA6-8C18-FB7468EE505F.jpeg

I don’t see any indentation around the case and am reluctant to start digging into the case.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks
    C

If you don't know how, don't do it.

But it's probably something like this:

    Or this:

Will your next question relate to how to perform the operation you have in mind that requires that the case back be removed?

Plastic knife, or go to a watchmaker. I would do the latter

Get thee to a watchmaker, before you regret scratching the caseback on a soft gold case.

No plan to tinker, I just like to be able to remove the back and am curious what the inside caseback says and what the movement number is.

If you slip with the case back removal procedure, and trash the mechanism, you’ll be in for a world of hurt! In the interest of preserving your nice Omega, have a pro remove the back for you.

Not worth the curiosity-especially with soft gold. Be patient, a watchmaker will be able to tell you the ref & serial and you can go from there

Ah yes. Lots of cheap watch repair kits have the flat knives in them.

The ball is also useful for stress when it doesn't open the caseback. :)
