How to identify a Mk 4.5 Service Dial?

Hi Guys,

I was looking at my Mk 4.5 and got wondering if it has a service dial or an original. I know they made the Mk 4.5 from late '74/early 75 to 1986, and I know they switched from Tritium to Luminova somewhere in that timeframe.....but don't know exactly. I was reading that service dials were all Lumi and thus no longer were marked "T - Swiss Made -T" at the bottom of the dial like the Tritium ones were. But if they switched during production from Tritium to Lumi then many were made with both dials as original. So that being the case............how can I tell if mine has a service dial or not? I guess I could do it by serial number if someone knows when the Lumi cut-in date was. Anybody have any ideas..........or is there another way tell a service dial on these guys??

thanks,
bob
