image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hey guys, let me tell you I'm new here and I know nothing about watches. Today my grandmother gave me an old omega watch she had since the 80s, an I was wondering if anyone knows what model and year is it, and maybe the value. It was a gift from a friend of her who had it for year (so it might be from the 60s-70s or older). Bought in holland and confirmed its gold and pearls are original on a gold/jewellery store. Hope to hear from you, cheers

Luckily for you I'm gifted with a 6th sense, so I can tell you that your watch is highly sought after and highly collectable. Every serious collectors dream. The Omega Museum would want it for their collections.

I guess your mailbox is flooded now with inquiries to buy the watch, but don't accept anything less than 15k$

I can confirm that most of the above is correct although the valuation is slightly low. If the watch were mine I'd be asking 17-20k.

Hello my friend, why wouldn't I be serious, did I say something wrong? I am sorry if that is the case but my native language is not English, I tried to tell as much as possible. Do you think I should give better info or post better pictures? Sorry

please read the thread referenced above, as it gives recommendations for needed photos, etc. The photos you provided are completely out of focus, do not show any dial detal, and are incomplete.

Really? I'm sad to hear that, but why do you think it's fake? It was bought on a jewellery store and it's been checked and they told my grandmother it was plated gold and the pearls were original. Maybe a good counterfeit. I hope someone knows more though

The case back stamped on the outside is a big tell. On top of that, Omega would never stamp a gold plated watch with an 18K gold marking!:(

Also - diamonds would be held in with prongs. Not just stuck in holes with glue

Wasn't going to mention this but "diamonds"...you're using the term loosely there, right.;)
