Hi all,
Advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I sent off my 1970 Omega Electronic F300 Hz Diver Geneve day date ,Serial No 198.029 and my 1971 Omega Constellation F300 Chronometer, kal 1250, 198.002. for a quote as they both decided to stop working within a week of each other. I won't name the Company as it wouldn't be fair but I've been quoted £300 and £434 for an overhaul, cell and readjust indexing of both watches and a new R.C unit coil for the other.
It seems extremely expensive to me or is this about right ?

If this is correct then I have a major dilemma as the watches are not worth much more than that really.

Stuck with what to do really.

I would think that these parts are hard to come by.
I would think that the equipment and knowledge how to be able to repair these are likely getting hard to come by as well.
service on autos with common parts are higher. I would personally be happy with anything under 500 (USD) but would be happier if well under!
good luck,

Price isn’t bad. Servicing a fine watch is just part of the ownership.

Welcome to the world of f300Hz ownership and servicing - just because the watches are cheap to buy, does not mean they are cheap to service or repair.

Those prices are at the reasonable end of things... I've paid Electric Watches similar to bring dead f300Hz back to life for me in the past.

Yes send Rob (Thai) an email. I have sent a Tronosonic chronograph with the difficult ESA 9210 and a Kontiki Sonic and did an excellent job and under $200 on each
