I found a Speedmaster First Omega In Space for sale. The watch appears to be in very good condition but has no box or papers. What would be a good price for it?? FOIS.jpg

look up the reference number, search this forum and ebay for sold listings, average those out, anything less than the average is "good", with suitable correction for missing box/papers.

I've seen asking prices in similar condition w/B&P as low as $3200 (private sale); $3700 (BNIB, dealer) on the high end; figure B&P are worth another $250-300?

It seems that it´s not a very desireable piece. MSRP is $5,300 but there aren´t a lot of them out there and the ones you can find retail BNIB for around $3,200-$3,600.

Always liked these but they did a 'limited run' that seemed to go on for ever. Think they still going tbh. I would go for one with box and papers and spend the extra to get it. Loads of these for sale at the moment I've seem

I would not pay over 3k without box and papers.

I get mine few months ago for 3200$ BNIB on OF, so if I were you I'll wait to find a full set exemple.

This watch is the perfect Speedy if you have small wrist!

Mine is not that small. My '57 and my GSOTM fit just perfect as well as my 45.5mm PO's[IMG][IMG][IMG][[IMG]

Really doesn't make sense on why the box and papers disappeared on this one. I personally would give it quite a discount as you can easily find another piece with everything included for a decent price.

You might want to try the watch before then!

If you're use to big watches +/- 45mm... this one my feel pretty small. It's only 39.7mm and crown is quite thin.

These have cropped up on UK watch forums for as little as £2200 inc b&p (now $2750 USD) and struggled to sell at that money. Before the pound collapsed that was nearer $3000 but I would want at least 10-20% off for the missing stuff so would be looking at $2750. You may want to satisfy yourself that it isn't stolen, missing box is always a worry on a nearly new watch.

I don't really know why these aren't more popular, they look like the very first Speedmasters which now fetch nearly 6 figures and wear just the same as the 3570 since the bezel and dial are the same size, it is just the case which is slimmer underneath with no bumpers.

Yep. It's the same as the '57 speedy. The dial and the bezel are the exact same size as the GSOTM. But the case is a little slimmer. You can't really tell the case is smaller until you actually measure it.
