I was just wandering how much money do you spend on watches? How big are collections of member from this forumI? I am sure that are some impressive collection out there..can we see some pictures? I will start with mine which are not so many. The modern ones..I will post later with the vintage.

Not as much as I did in 2011 (my career year), but still more than any sane person even in my relative inactive period.

I am trying to reduce my collection to about 50 watches since I think I might be able to wear all of them on a reasonably regular basis, but I haven't really thought about it in terms of value.

 

Going by the question in the title "How much money do you invest in watches?", the answer is zero. I buy them to enjoy them, they're not investments.

 

"Invest" used to be a banned word around here.

I have very clear investment priorities.

I spend much less on watches than I would like to, less than I can afford to, yet more than my wife knows... (but not too much honey if/when you read this, they're all worth the same or more than I paid for them! trust me... )
