Or is one person's "unattractive" another person's "barn find"

I guess we shall find out.

I've seen a couple of Meister 105.012's listed on Chrono24 for big bucks.......$15k and up. But these were in better shape than this 105.012.

FYI, Meister, Tiffany and Turler were high end stores that, in the 1960's and 1970's, sold double branded watches, as seen above. I have not seen a Speedmaster with any other double brand, other than Meister.

I sourced this 145.022-69 Meister last year for a rather small premium over a normal dial. It's one of my favorites :)

I'm sure others will disagree, but I wouldn't really pay any premium for a co-branded Speedmaster.

I can appreciate that people may want one in a collection, but other than that, I prefer a standard dial.

what does everybody think about originality, ... i dont have an 105.012 ... i dont mind rough around the edges... i dont think i will pay a premium for the co brand, but if it checks out and the price does not sky rocket....maybe... I guess that is long winded for I am watching but not bidding

    No TFL, no wide-Ts, doubtful it's a '66CB.

Hmm, a local (Dutch) shop had a Meister for sale up until a few days ago. From memory, it looked a lot like this one. I wonder if it's the same watch being flipped.

[edit] probably not. It doesn't match with the seller's story, nor the service receipt.

Could be a 66CB caseback. But not a 66CB case.

Or dial. Unless the Miesters have an exception to the observed trend?

There's nothing that actually suggests it's a CB, other than the seller thinking he can see the facets. He also says he hasn't seen inside.

I don't think it is. Looking at the front, sides and back of the case, I'd wager its a 66 HF.

+1, especially when the print is slightly wonky and clearly been put on later ...

Not sure I follow. The Meister engraving was put on after the original dial was made. Some say it was done at the store itself. It never matches the original dial font.

I like it, must be pretty rare, far more attractive than having a cartoon character on the dial

I am not sure its been put on at the same time or if they (Singer or Omega?) grab into a container and get 100 finished dials out and put MEISTER/TÜBLER on whenever they negotiated a special volume deal with that AD ... (I tend to believe the second)

be it as it is, the font and position ALWAYS look like an afterthought. :cautious:

MWO confirms that Meister Jewelers inscribed their name on all watches they sold. Not just Omegas. The Meister inscription was applied in Meister's own shops.
