I've got a Tri-Compax 881101/04 (below, with the wrong hands). Does anyone know how many iterations of the 881101 UG made, and what the differences are between them?

Those hands are not correct for the 881101/04. I don't think the dial is not correct either. The dial is matt black. It should be a full aqua. I remember that particular watch being sold at auction back in 2014. It has a black dial which belongs to an 881101/02, I don't have an aqua dial from an 04 but here is one from an 03 ... it is a silky sunburst finish with a deep blue colour. My favorite !

Lume was very subtle on 60s compax and tri compax references and in some cases after so many years, it may be difficult to see. Bottom of dial says "swiss t" i think ... If so, there should be some tritium there! Do hands have lume ? Difficult to tell but they look plain.

The case looks correct. Iit looks like the tachy bezel may have been replaced with a plain bezel. Do you have a reference and serial number ?

Plain hands, thought they should be lumed, had this watch for about 10 years ! Dont have the tool to open the case.
