How long does it take a LE to become a Snoopy?

I am fascinated and curious with how a limited edition watch becomes a highly collectible. I bought my first LE about six months ago. I purchased it only because I like the way it looks. I was about to purchase Aqua Terra and the boutique whiped this thing out and I fell in love with it. I have no plans to sell it because I like the watch, however I'm curious to know what is the length of time that it takes for one of these to become a Snoopy? Is it immediately when they come on the market or does it take some time for people to appreciate that particular watch?

Snoopy was a perfect storm. Nothing since has followed its trajectory.

It's more of a factor of originality and design than time I would say. The Snoopy has both, but the ST2 has neither.

Quantity plays a part, but only to a point. The Tin Tin is a good example - great looking and relatively limited quantity, but slow to appreciate.
