Hey guys- quick question. Raking a sh*t ton of leaves up here in the PNW. Was wearing my new PO GMT but panicked a bit and took it off
How robust are these watches-? Or am I being a bit of a p*ssy
Thoughts??

I’ve cut down trees with chainsaws and felling axes wearing an automatic watch with no ill effects, so raking up a few leaves shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

You’re definitely overthinking this, and you’re underestimating the toughness of your PO: I’m also in the PNW, and do eg storm cleanup, tree trimming (chainsaw and ax are involved) in our yard with my PO GMT on my wrist. It’s a tool watch after all.

The only work I take it off is when I’m e.g. crawling under tractor or trailer on gravel or concrete since I don’t want to negligently scratch the case or shatter the crystal on close contact with rocks

The watch is especially made to be worn when raking huge amounts of leaves. That’s why it has the 24 hour hand, in case it takes more than 12hrs to finish the job.

I'd normally do all sorts of stuff with whatever watch I'm wearing at the moment. This weekend I was down on my knees, scrubbing the driveway with oil cleaner and a wire brush. I thought "Hmm, the watch is awfully close to the concrete" so I took it off until I finished.

Discretion is the better part of Valor.
