Smells fishy to me. Almost like advertisement for the rental company.

That fishy smell is well... rotting fish.

    What a load of hogwash.

99.999999% of the people he met could not tell a $50 watch from a $50000 one. And even fewer cared.

"A message on the subscription service site reads: 'Our members enjoy an unprecedented selection of the world’s most exquisite watch brands and styles."

Well, yeah, since it has occurred to no one else to rent watches. ::facepalm2::

Farthest a watch ever got me was about 12 hours...then it was like it started all over again.

There was a thread on here a while back about a guy who invited a "stray" up to his pad, to find himself drugged, and an expensive watch and other stuff, gone! Along with the "lady"! Maybe a "Smart" watch would be the one you'd want to be wearing if you were on a booty call!

Love these articles.... it always (always) comes down to women for those who don't actually enjoy watches (or sports cars, for that matter).

I've been in group conversations (work happy hours, parties etc) where any women present immediately rolled their eyes and walked away when conversation turned to watches - and the sports car I drive is a total dude magnet. Women don't care about it; dudes want to talk about it!

To add to my comment above - if you really want something that attracts women, get a dog or have a kid :D

My SKX gets more comments then my POC... perhaps as it has heft and vaguely looks like a GMT Rolex. Not a single comment on my speedies.

Nah, even better - stand outside a high end shoe or handbag store and tell the hottest looking females that pass by you just found $10,000 in a suit you hadn't worn in a couple years and need help spending it.

...... in the Bahamas after leaving the store.

Like Foo2rama, I've received compliments from women (including at least one drop-dead gorgeous woman, way, way above my league, or at least, below my age) for my Seiko SKX007. Alas, I only wear it when vacationing, swimming, boating, hiking, camping or working in the yard. Did any of these women know the difference between my Seiko and a Submariner or Seamaster? No. But any woman who does is looking for a man far wealthier than I, which she would soon figure out, even if I bought one of those pricier models, once she noticed the lack of a Porsche, Lear jet, beachfront Hamptons estate, etc.

Woe is you! If I buy a watch, or even if I DON'T buy a watch, watches have nothing to do with my (ahem), getting lucky! I think it was Steve Martin that commented one time- "Do you know the look on a woman's face when tonight's the night? Well, I don't either!"

[emoji68] i guess i'm one of those nutty fruitcake females that actually analyze owners' watches before i actually look at their faces
Many a time i have asked people politely at my workplace /seminars/parties to unfasten their branded Swiss/ Seikos/ Sinns
( strangely) from their wrists so that i can inspect & just appreciate all the wonderful qualities but never once have i been disrespectful by commenting whether it's genuine or fake.Sometimes i ask permission from the owners then take a Selfie with a wrist-shot[emoji14]

My wife has interest in my vintage watches. Mostly "How much did you spend?". Nothing to see here dear. Move along ;)
