Looks like it has it has a dent in the case left for the "12" marker, but how about dial, hands, etc.? Year? Value maybe? Thanks
Looks like an early 50x from the mid 50's. Could be a bumper from a few years earlier though. The crystal retainer ring is silver when it should be gold since the case top and hands/markers are gold. Looks like the wrong hands too. In the condition it's in I'd expect it to sell for $550-ish because the black dial looks half decent and original, and somebody won't know about the watch's pratfalls. In better shape and all correct this is easily an $800 watch.
I think it will be an early 50X and not a bumper, based on the case design. Note that the gold shows wear through on the ends of the lugs. There are also some pretty significant gauges on the case back, the crown is not original, the tension ring is wrong and the hands are wrong. Whether the dial is original or not, I can't tell but all the factors I mentioned previously would advise me to consider the value as a parts watch. My 2c
