I think this one looks much better than the last one I was looking at......almost too good. Could it be redialed? 166.020 SP Reference 563 Automatic Caliber 24242201 (Late 60s circa 66-67) Labelled "T Swiss Made T" (is this label OK?)- Tritium Hands in good condition Has non Coathanger style Seamaster label (looks a bit thick to me) which should be appropriate for the time period "Letter A" in Automatic is cutoff Watch case appears to be relatively sharp and not excessively polished Omega labelled crown Thanks in advance for taking a look everyone.....I have a lot to learn.
The dial doesnt look bad...from the distance. A closer pic would help. There are two Ts in the swiss made and I dont see tritium in the 5-minute markers. It should be there.
I've got a 1964 Seamaster Deville with the same dial minus the calendar that I am using to compare to this dial. I think the one in the pictures is an original, untouched dial. The dial script looks the same as mine. These one piece hermetic designed seamaster cases likely reduce humidity related damage to the dial or tritium compared to non-water resistant cases of other types of watches. The case inside stamp looks right. While high resolution pictures would be very helpful, I think I can see the tan tritium dots on the outside edge of the 5 minute markers where it should be. The hand luminescene is the same tan color and the sword hour and minute plus seconds hands seem correct. The case edges look sharp and the raised "seahorse" logo is in good condition. Crown also looks original to me or at least correct. The 17 jewel movement I think was for a US market. If the price is right and the seller has good feedback, I think you would have a nice watch.
So Swiss made with two T's indicates that both the Hands and the minute markers on the face should have tritium correct?
Here are some additional better photos of the watch face! I can see the T lume on the minute makes and it appears to match the hands. I am thinking that the watch face is all original at this point.
A good read: https://www.hautehorlogerie.org/en/...y-of-watchmaking/s/swiss-t-25-t-swiss-made-1/ It was educational for me to read
