I am selling a barely worn mens Aqua Terra Goodplanet with box, papers, even the original receipt from the Omega Boutique. I'd like to post it in the for sale forum but it says I have insufficient privileges.

This isn't going to be the best place to sell your watch. I would try ebay, best bet for moving your watch.

The 200 posting rule is in place to ensure that members can trust their trading partner.

damn 200 posts? I don't have that kind of time. I'm a CPA at Ernst & Young scamming people would be completely against my code of ethics in the first place.

You have to let ebay know that he never paid, and they will refund your fees.

It doesn't really protect anyone though.

I have bought watches here from old members and none of them were as described.

Really all the 200 posts rule means is they've bothered to write 200 posts.

Can you explain more? What mean not as described? Real issue or just a ding somewhere not seen in pictures?

    Well, it's better than nothing...
Did you tell those 'old member' sellers their goods were not quite as advertised? Did you write about your experience on the feedback subforum?

Selling on ebay is very frustrating. But, to move something quickly, especially a decent item like your watch is, it's unfortunately still the best place to go.

Older members tend to have poor eyesight and are more likely to overlook flaws in a watch...I suggest you stick with buying from younger members with good eyesight or those whose wear corrective lenses.

The 200 posts is a condition. There are many threads on OF discussing it. I suspect that since the OP is too busy to even read stickies, chances of him participating in the forum *may* be slim-to-none. My understanding is OF is not intended to serve as a sales forum for the general public, but as a way for forum members to sell to fellow forum members.

I'm a fan of the post count requirement. While not fool proof, it certainly cuts down on the crap and clutter along with scams which are rampant within our collective hobby/passion. It may be frustrating for some, such as perhaps the OP, but from a utilitarian point of view the rule is working as intended.

Don't you watch South Park? If the underwear gnomes switched to watch gnomes who wanted to sell their items here, the procedure would be:

    Phase 1: read the stickies
    Phase 2: ??????
    Phase 3: profit
