Hi! I have a 166.032 Seamaster Sparkle. Can I set the day by going backwards past 12:00 then forwards again, like on old Timex and Russian watches? Thought I'd ask before I try it and break something. The date can be set by pulling and pushing the crown, but if there's no quick way to advance the day I'm selling this in a rage. Thanks!

Let me see a photo of the watch so I can decide how I want to answer.

Thanks for the link, but I'm not sure how to interpret those instructions. "turn the hands in either direction until the correct day appears". Does that mean to go one direction around and around until I hit the right day, or can I do the back to 9:00 forward to 3:00, back to 9:00 forward to 3:00 dance so I can get there faster. Thanks

Safest is to turn it forward until you see the proper day and then use the date corrector (pull the crown) until the right date appears.
