I'm in the market to sell my seamster but I'm not 100% positive what reference number it is. Can anyone point me to the correct place to find out please? Also, does anyone know what year it was produced. Based on what I've found it looks like the early 2000's.

    The serial starts with 805xxxxx
It has the 898 end links
    2500B Movement

    Thanks for the help.

The reference number is typically stamped on the inside of the case back, so if unsure of how to do this yourself, just take it into the local watchmaker and they will take the back off for you. A7B7ABB9-3C06-4381-911C-016BB08FB828.jpeg

No, the case number (partial) will be on the inside of the case back, but not the watch reference number...

Oh. . . Thanks Al. I understood that the number in the case back was generally regarded as the watch reference number (i.e. Speedy 2915-x, 2998-x, 105-xx, 145-xx) and the number on the movement to be its S.N.? Now I’m curious! Lol! If I have a Speedmaster ST145.012 with a 250085xx SN what would the reference number be?

Please note that we are in the modern Omega section...the "rules" you state do not apply.

My guess is that the watch the OP has is a ref. 25035000, which would use a case number 1681111 - full case number is actually 055ST1681111.

The case number gives details about the case. The reference number gives details about the entire watch...

    Cheers, Al

Ahh! Thanks Al, I only have the one modern Planet Ocean, and was not aware of the changes in reference ID. Very helpful as usual!

I suspect my ref. number is 2503.50 but I’m not 100% sure. Also, I suspect that the year of manufacture is 2003. But again I’m not 100%. Is there any way to be 100% sure without the original receipt and warranty card?

Original receipt and warranty card will only give you the date of sale, not year of manufacture as the watch may have been with the AD for some years before it was sold.
According to my information your watch was manufactured around 2006.

I think it is earlier than that. I have a 2503.52 RM (same case number 168.1111) on a 80.83m serial which was delivered in 2005. My guess is that the OP one was built circa 2004 or even 2003 as the OP suggests

    Thanks guys/(gals?) for the help.
So the consensus is that I have an Omega Seamaster Aqua Tera reference number 2503.50.
Now I just need the requisite number of posts so I can list it for sale. I need to get my $1800 out of this watch so I can buy a new watch.
