I don't want to break any rules. But I want a few opinions on an eBay Speedy. But, also don't want it bought out from under me either. Lol. It's a 145.022
Looks good. Buy it. In all seriousness, unless you're trying to sell something without permission, there aren't many rules here. Just post the pictures and maybe the link. Trust me, you have not found a Speedmaster on eBay that the rest of us haven't already seen.
Insert, Dial correct? What bracelet is that? Aftermarket with omega clasp or South American market? That kind of stuff.
Unless you really know your way around Speedies, which you don’t, I would steer clear of any NYC ebay watch dealers. Except those with proven credentials like @Kringkily.
Those pictures and the description are shocking to say this is from a dealer. It looks like a mid-late 70's model but seeing as they haven't shown pics of the ref or inside the case back it's impossible to know for sure. The hands are likely original and the lume appears present but due to the exposure you can't tell how atractive it is. The case is also poorly polished. Very meh.
Kinda what? You have bracelet questions, yet the photos do not show the back of the clasp so hard to say what it is. There are no movement photos, of photos of inside of caseback. The lighting in the provided photos is so bright it is had to tell how good the case may be. The reflections in the crystal make it hard to see the full dial to make sure it is free of staining, etc. The tension ring is partially covering 'T SWISS MADE T" for some reason. Etc. Etc. Etc. In reply to post above, the listing indicates it is from 1980 - 1989. But all-in-all, nothing here jumps out at being worth the asking price.
I'm quite fond of 80's/90's tritium Speedmasters, and have looked at dozens. The one you linked to is not very attractive. I tend to prefer Japanese sellers for these watches: the watches are usually in better condition and are very honestly described. Here's a nice one from eLady, from whom I've bought several. (This is from her store; she's on eBay but charges a couple hundred more to cover eBay fees).
What the shit dude. No one was less then nice to you. Multiple people politely told you it was overpriced. Why are you complaining about the help you got.
