I picked this watch up last week. I like the style and the movement looks good (keeps good time). It looks to me like the dial is original. Crystal has the Omega symbol in the center. Stainless case is in good shape It's a caliber 560, adjusted in two positions. Case back reference number is 14770-2, I was only able to find 14770 on the database (solid gold Seamaster De Ville). Was $400 a decent price? First three pics are seller's:
Took that pic as I was removing the movement, which comes out the front, to try to get a good picture of the "Swiss Made". The crystal and bezel come off as a unit...
Actually, there were several references. I think the 14.770 was one that could house a 560 in the Seamaster line, not the Seamaster DeVille though.
I found two other Ref. 14770 housing a cal. 560: http://www.watch-fanatic.com/marketplace/1-Omega/186-seamaster-de-ville-1962 http://www.wristmenwatches.com/itemsdesc.aspx?id=16 Not too sure about the dials on both, though. gatorcpa Make it 3-for-3 on the redials... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-Sea...=&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Does that mean the links are redials, or evidence that mine is a redial? Hopefully $400 isn't too bad either way...
I think your dial is original. It's the others I'm not certain about. However, I'd like to see another example with an original dial in a Ref. 14770 case and cal. 560 to be sure that everything goes together as it should. gatorcpa
