How careful are you with the lugs when removing bracelet from Speedmaster

When I first got my watch, I would tape up the lugs and agonize over the first scratches. I'm still careful when removing the bracelet, but I no longer tape the lugs or worry about these scratches. Figure they'll get cleaned up when I get the watch serviced.

    What's your story?

My Speedmaster is so scratched up already that I doubt I would even notice another one. Seriously, the lugs look like it went through a blender or something. But I love it. It's nice to have a vintage watch I can almost consider a beater (and not worry about strap changes).
