    Good Morning OF
How authentic is this Seamaster 300 the sealer has told me only the crown has been replace, the last 300 I looked at this week was a total disappointment given it was a fake how does this one stand up .

Have you done any research yourself? Have you checked the movement number against the date on the back? Does the bezel insert look like a 48 year old bezel?

I've did some research on the 300 ,but if I'm honest it's like a mine field when your trying to spot an authentic 300 hence my posting .

, Steve, a long standing member, is asking a legitimate question regarding a watch that is not the easiest to research. It is also easily copied. Unfortunately, there is no Diver Seamaster Only or seamaster101.com (yet) to refer to.

If it is obvious that the watch has issues (which it does and lots of them) tell us. I don't think you should be answering his questions with more questions. I've already messaged him with my thoughts.

Here is what I can see from a quick look without reference material in front of me:

    1. Crown was replaced and is incorrects.
    2. Hands - difficult to tell, but they don't look right to me. They appear to have been poorly relumed and this might be distorting their look.
    3. Bezel - highly reminiscent of fake bezels produced a while back. A shot of the watch in the dark to determine if the bezels glows would be helpful.

There are lots of things wrong with this watch, unfortunately. As discussed, the hands, crown, and bezel are all wrong. Also, the date window does not appear to have the proper bevel on it.

    Horror story-keep looking.

Wrong hands, wrong crown, wrong bezel, no T swissT...could be an artificially aged/coloured service super luinova dial but it certainly isn't from '67. Movement dates to around 1970....only an Extract will tell the truth about that.....no case back pictures.....and all yours for only E3999
