Ha! I wish that was the case with mine. Heading back to the AD tomorrow to see if they can advise.

My PO 8500 had some scratches on the bezel, I really didn't like it, so I upgraded to the 8900

So the AD is saying this is normal wear and tear, and the only thing covered by the warranty is the movement. Pretty annoying considering how much Omega rant and rave about their bezels being extremely resistant to marks/scratching

True. I have smacked the case of my DSOTM, and I mean really smacked it very hard against metal door handles twice. Both times I thought I had scratched the side of the case, but it turns out that it was just metal off the door handle! I removed it by scrubbing fairly hard with one of those kitchen scrubbing pads (you know, the green lightly abrasive type) - the watch case came out looking absolutely pristine, the door handles not so much! I've only had the DSOTM for six months but so far there is not a mark on it.

Yours almost looks stained with something, so I would agree with Omega that this is not a product defect, but something has happened to this insert. Warranties cover product defects, not damage, so getting this replaced under warranty wasn't going to happen - the best you could have hoped for was a courtesy repair.

The bezel insert can be replaced, so that would be your other option - not cheap though...

Agree with that. Thought It might be worth a try to get it through warranty but how can I remove it? Its got this strnage sheene/shine to it now? AD quoted me 300.00GBP for Bezel Replacement.

Fairly standard though. Would you want to replace all of the bezels in watches you made years in the past?

Thats not the point though. If this was a metal insert and it was scratched, i’d take it on the chin. But because its ceramic, and its supposed to be a superior material? That insert shouldn’t fade/scratch/mark at any point in its life.

Sorry but that is unrealistic. These are not indestructible...they just hold up better in many ways than an aluminum insert does...

I'm curious about this... I have the Casamigos PO and its entirely matte, and it scuffs REALLY easily... I took it to an OB for a free inspection when I first acquired it and they managed to add two more scuffs to it.

Whats the tool that can rub off scuff marks? And does anyone know if the matte finish on my watch is similar to the matte bezels?

My GSOTM on the other hand has absolutely 0 marks, so it seems this is just an issue on matte finishes.

Might poke my OB to see if they can order one for me. Do you have any idea if this would work well on the matte finish of the Casamigos PO?

I was under the impression a good rubber erasure will work on matte... Don't quote me though, as it is basically soft material stuck in the matte and you need to remove it.

Oddly enough... I don't think I have any erasers at home lol.
I do have a Mr Clean Magic Eraser but that stuff is abrasive so im hesitant to try it.
