All looks good IMO. Even has original crown. It's a ref 14900 and should have a CAL 551 movement. Serial no. should date it to early 60's. 18mil to 29mil ish.

Dial is showing slight patina in that last photo but doesn't look too bad. Case is nice and sharp.

If you buy it I'd be interested in knowing what something like that sells for. (edit) I ended up buying a watch this week, should be delivered Saturday, I'm not sure if I'm going to like it but I had a time frame I wanted something for and figure I can always try and relist it and get some of my money back if I really hate it. This one here is a little more similar in style to what I like, I think. So I'm trying to keep an eye on what the prices end up being.

Best way to figure value is going to be eBay search for SOLD items and find something similar.

    Nice watch. All genuine.

I'd say these usually sell for over 400-500$.

Definitely something I've been doing (hopefully work isn't keeping an eye on my browsing history too much this past week haha), it helps to be able to see a watch here that someone knowledgeable about it's quality has given feed back on too though. I'm still way to green to be able to pick out a bunch of replacement parts.

This is not meant polemical but where will you find one of them?
I searched online (worldwide) for maybe two weeks but these 551 in this reduced state (no gold, clear dial, rather original)
are quite hard to find in my point of view.
    Cheers,

    Christoph

Anyone who sells a watch like that for $500 is a fool and deserves what they get, I believe around $1000 is more realistic for most people.

14381 doesn't have dog leg lugs.

I know that they are scarce... I said minimum 400-500$ as sometimes you'll find them on auction on eBay for example...

@Passover - this is not a rare watch. That it isn't readily available at all times online does not mean that it is particularly rare, just that few if none were up for sale at the time of your search. I have one like it, same case and dial.

$1000 for a Constellation with a dial with that sort of aging wouldn't be a very good deal.

    well here's my two h'apeth

dial looks correct but has quite a lot of degradation 'spotting'
    case and lugs slightly polished
    nice medallion

the crown appears to sit at an odd angle

I'd like to see the inside of the case back
the rotor has been rubbing on the movement and the case back - and it also has serious rub marks around the angled edge of the rotor - don't remember seeing that before
the movement is 'mucky' commensurate with the moisture damage to the dial - possibly as a consequence of the aforementioned crown situation

    what is the asking price?
if it's really cheap and you want to wear it as a beater, okay (remember to allow for a service)
but if you're looking for a nice Connie save your money for something else - as @ConElPueblo says, they do come up (dome dials like this one more than pie-pans)
