I decided to enjoy this watch for a bit, so I took it on rotation, but I noticed that the bottom pusher sticks out more than the top one. I doesn't have play if I try to move it around, so I'm not worried a lot, but I figured it would still be best to ask around... PS: the watch needs a service so I'm not even winding it, I just wear it with the time set at 10h07 Thanks guys!
You could be right, but I've compared the first shot with other 69s I've found online and they all seem to have the same spacing as my top pusher...
Will do, but there's no one I would trust locally and I can't ship it with a full insurance (I would need appraise it to "prove" market value) just yet. I'll bring it to STS/SF later this year, but if you don't mind in the meantime I'd like to enjoy it from time to time as it is
You would need to un-case the movement to tighten the pusher. It sounds like the screw that holds the cap on is working its way out. You won't necessarily feel that it is loose because of the spring so the first thing you will notice is that the pusher cap has dropped off and could be anywhere.
As above needs fixing before you loose the cap on the street somewhere, picked one up on WRUW on one of @watchdaddy1 ,s watches a while back. ( he might be able to let us know how it turned out )
Thanks for explaining the issue in simple terms. I guess a 69 pusher cap is not that valuable but it would suck to lose it since all of the parts on the watch are the ones that left the factory in 1970... Guess I'll be careful, wear it for a couple of days and try not to bang it on every table I see
