First I have to say, (as though lawyers were in the room) I don't actually know that I was fighting the Museum for this watch, but the auctioneers "suggested" that they were "very interested" in this watch, in conversation after the sale.

Of course while auctioneers in general have a different approach to painting the truth to me, someone wanted this nearly as badly as me.....but not quite - obviously.

In fairness, I was not hot headed. Years of trading in rare objects have taught me when to recognise the truly rare. And I missed out on two rare watches in the last six months that added to my courage, and funds.

Now I am just adjusting some lights.....

Well, no NASA SEB number so it's a good sign you will be able to keep it:thumbsup:

I know from own experience that the Museum is buying vintage pieces, to its collections, on "ordínary" on-line auctions. Bidding very, very far from the OmegaMania level, though :D

But not on this one obviously, if they were bidding..... This must be a price record for a 105.003?

The other 105.003 they had, stands out as extremely priceworthy in comparison...

Well, we know there was at least one lawyer in the room when you bought it.
