I saw it but the case condition and lack of original strap was something that held me back from adding a brother to the one I have. Hope someone here got it
It is a beauty but given the rarity the case shape was a bit worrisome as the edges are all polished down quite heavily even though the store said it was never polished it has spent some time on the wheel and the brushed finish looks poor. I don't know what can be done to bring back the crisp edges so I let this little brother go.
Kringkly, did yours was on the same price range? I thought this unicorn was insanely expensive.. I always wondered about the price.. Hopefully ill get a chance lile this in the future
I don't understand some of these sellers, they ask thousands of dollars for a watch and want you to pay for the shipping?
I don't understand people that spend that amount on money to buy a beautiful watch like and don't know what to do ask when it goes for a service. they don't know that if you polish the the watch the value goes down or the just don't care? they just wand their watch to shine?
Omega Service Ctr doesnt always do good job polishing. A few people i knew had to go back few times for them to get the polishing job right. By then it was too late. I was told if i ever going to have a watch polished, be sure to ask for the supervisor to explain what needed to be done. I suppose polishing is an art, and it depends on person doing the job irregardless of the establishments.
It is a total crapshoot. A ton of watchmakers just run it through the wheel and kill the edges for some weird reason. Lots of proper ways to touch it up without ruining the edges.
I think that's because the strap is slimmer. Otherwise someone would have had to remove a ridiculous amount of metal.
