Honeycomb 2520 / 2577 SC redial?

Yes this is one of those threads. I am not buying this watch but merely looking to hone my Redial-eye.

The Seamaster print looks different and "odd" to my eyes.

The wonky 9-indice isn't helping either on the overall effect but that doesn't necessarily mean a redial, does it?

I appreciate your opinions greatly. Thank you in advance.

Look at the second E in "Seamaster". I doubt a dial refinisher would bother with that detail... which is not to say that anything other than that is wrong, because it varies a lot (darn it!) but that is an example of right.

Looks totally legit. I think it’s tempting to get into the minutiae of scripts when assessing a dial, and while that’s certainly important, this one immediately scanned as correct to me

“Swiss” at the bottom of the dial is a good sign. Usually means a US market watch. If the movement has the OXG import code or Unadjusted on the rotor, that would line up nicely.

I think the dial is original, it’s just that the “9” index fell off at one time and was glued in by a lazy watchmaker.

No movement photo but it is a US based seller so that lines up also.

Thank you all for your comments, I appreciate them. I learned something. 📖

GLWS to the seller.
