Well, I never thought I would get here, but I have finally put together a modest Omega Holy Trinity set, with some caveats. This is probably about as close as I will get. But, it's not quite legit. 2915 is a collection of parts. I'm OK with that because I don't know if I'd wear a $100k+ watch on a normal basis. This one, I can wear with no fear. Seamaster is allegedly a 165.014-62, but the movement number is earlier than expected for one, more appropriate for a 14755. An extract is on order, so we shall see. And obviously, it needs a bezel. I'm taking names for anyone that has one they'd sell, original or Aldo accepted. Lastly, a Railmaster, but a PAF Railmaster which means it says Seamaster on the dial. As a PAF, it checks out . Numbers on the case and movement match the extract. So it will have to do for this set. So, like I said, not quite a proper Holy Trinity set, but I'm OK with that. Anyone care to share a real Trinity collection?
Very nice work! Still gives you something to aim for (bezel, date-appropriate movement), but I agree, you can wear these with little fear. Congrats!
Could you explain to me (because i'm not an expert) why the 2915 is a collection of parts?Pleaseeeee??
It's a 105.002 with a 105.003 dial, and hands and bezel from the modern Speedmaster "Replica" broad arrow. It's not a 2915 at all.
Thank you I didn't know you could fit modern hands on older movement. The 2915 "replica" that you have it is a stunning piece.
This trio is a close as I’ve come to the promised land. 2913-1, 2915-3, 2914-1 All on proper 7077-6 brackets.
A collector from Hong Kong had these 2. He sold the 2915 and replaced it with the 60th anniversary model.
Ahhhh this thread is so refreshing! As opposed to “here is my newly acquired flawlesss (insert reference here)” ... not that there is anything wrong with that.. it’s just nice to see an appreciation for imperfection and works in process and the fun of collecting.
