    I know this watch was discussed previously but I can't find the thread. Have to admit, I dod not see this extremely strong result coming:

    The watch has to be a better target for me to raise my game. Too many question marks surrounding that particular one.

    Yes, I read your misgivings and I hear you on them.
    But one has to wonder if 2-3 bidders were willing to pony up that kind of dough, did they really do so in ignorance of these potential issues, i.e. were they just blinded by its beauty & the rep of the seller? ::confused2::
    Maybe some paperwork from Bienne would make all the difference on something like this?

    Assuming that it was a legitimate sale, it simply underscores that a beautiful dial can indeed trump other considerations.
