Great, now I can’t unsee those things-thanks Dan . I was dazzled by the shiny box. Despite the dial damage and polishing, I think it actually really attractive and love the bi-compax layout

 

The box and papers are always just an added bonus, the watch is the main event and this one is just ok.

 

This is why I love this group-now I won’t feel so badly when I get outbid

Honestly, I was truly dazzled by the box. I haven’t seen this clear lucite box with the groovy Deville script before- so 60’s cool.

 

It is also tiny at 35mm. I had the solid gold version before and didn’t wear it due to the size.

 

To me, lacking papers makes any "set" more than suspect. The box adds zero value, IMO.

 

It looks like that watch could have done with a protective sticker for the dial rather than one for the case back....a big pass for me.

Could be the angle, could be that the power reserve kicked out juuuuust at the right second, but it doesn't look like the Chrono lines up properly with the 60 marker. Pretty much all the phones have it just a hair off.

 

The box looks like one from the Italian seller @poddles on Ebay

 

Not exactly an attractive dial nor the case. But, probably it will sell over 2k EUR easily.
For comparison my 101.009 (sold it though, got 2872).
