Hollow rivet bracelet alteration technique...

You will see below an 18K hollow rivet bracelet. It looks as if the links are affixed by a gold tube that is slipped thru, and then maybe peened over somehow?

To add a link, would one un-peen the end, and slip the gold tube out, and then peen it back over? Or does one cut the little gold circle off (the "peened area"), slip the gold tube out, and then when it's put back, rather than peening it back over, does one just solder a little gold ring over the end to keep it affixed again?

Bottom line: would appreciate anyone's insights who's had experience with how these should be altered.

Can you pry open the center link from the back? If not, you will need to remove the rivet caps, add or remove links, and install new caps.

I just had a link added to a bracelet like this. LAWW didn't have the proper tube, so Rolliworks did the job. Existing tube is very carefully drilled out at the peen, then a new tube is peened in.
