Excellent condition

I don’t want to be defending the Dink here but, this is a bronze case. They are supposed to tarnish.

That polar is a hot fυcking mess!
Looks like you misspelled “splendidly unique patina”.

I may be in the minority but *most* “patina” dials I see just look damaged to me. It cracks me up to see them called “splendid”, “stunning”, etc. AKA a hot fuckin mess.

Reminds me of this 5513, also described as "excellent" at Tropical Watch. Some sellers are shameless...

Sort of reminds me of when some people sell used shoes online. Description would be like "only worn 3-4 times" but the soles look like the 3-4 times they were worn the person ran a marathon in them.

That’s the rare snow drift crown guards- so sought after!

Back to the tangential topic of this thread- now that the bronze watch fad is in a couple years, we are starting to see how these things age in the real world.

The Tudor was destined to fail at taking on a good patina- they couldn’t help themselves and brushed everything which does look cool when new, but ages like shit.

Oris on the other hand stuck with the classic satin polish which will age like bronze we all know taking on a deep warm tone with a smooth satin finish

Especially when enlarged until it start’s pixelating. That only makes it look even worse.

One of my certified #hottakes is that there is patina and there is damage and what most dealers call the former is actually the later. So there's at least two of us!

This one on WUS always gets me 😜

I have the Tudor BB58 Boutique edition. It`s aged to a slight grey. I have to say that the pictures don`t do the patina justice. The image looks heavily sharpened making the patina effect much stronger. I find the grey much better than the old bronze watches that tarnish towards a green.

This aging is also quite easily reversed if someone wants to keep it like new.

I have been curious about how the sterling silver one ages. I love the tone of silver so if anyone has one of those, please post pics.

Curious to see a picture now that you mention it 😜
Many thanks in advance if it’s not too much a bother.

here you are. it gives you a more realistic view of how it ages. This is a bit over 6 months and I've worn it in the heat, cold, etc. Mind you I don't wear it daily, but you can see how the bright bronze colour has taken on a greyish finish. I like it, in my opinion makes it more wearable given it's not as flashy.
