I loaded a basic, worldwide, "vintage" search in the "wristwatch" section of eBay, and lo and behold... https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEVIS-551Z...h=item442d1f6c43:g:Yy4AAOSwIKNb6gYh:rk:8:pf:0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network So...is there a vintage Rolex 5513 stuffed into one of pockets?
You bet there is: Whether that price is reasonable or not, I haven't a clue. But if these are the real thing, I suspect they are quite valuable in mint condition. gatorcpa
Crikey, if I was given those for Christmas and discovered the price, I'd get eating to fit the damn things!
Oh yeah, vintage denim, especially of the 'raw' variety is quite a big (but niche) thing, with even new brand jeans costing quite a bit! I remember a few years ago everyone and they dog just had to have a pair... The japanese are very into it, both in the vintage department as well as their own new brands. Interesting thing, most of the high-end japanese denim made nowadays, is done so using old/antique American looms.
Ive seen insane prices on old dirty pairs pulled from silver mines in Nevada dating back to the 1800's...it is indeed a thing. These are not much different than NOS watches with original hang tags....except sadly these are worth more with the tags on them...so you can't even wear them.
Looks like nearly $100k recently: https://www.google.com/amp/s/wtop.c...-125-year-old-levis-sell-for-nearly-100k/amp/
