    Hello OF Friends,

Curious if anyone knows the history of the leather two stitch strap. Did any watch manufacturer utilize two stitch straps? What years were they most popular. Where they used in military applications? Did they replace in popularity at a given time three stitch straps, box stitched straps or side stitch straps?

Thank you for the history lesson.

I thought they originated with hipster watch collectors in the mid 2010s and were an indicator that the watch was definitely not a barn find, or one owner example.

Not military straps - the majority of military watches have fixed bars
