Hi that’s a lovely dial too. I take it the dial sometimes doesn’t have Seamaster or De Ville on it?

I'm not an expert, and I've been told that it happened that some models didn't have a name at all.

Yes during my research I saw that. There are so many variants which makes it very tempting to try and get nice examples of the different dials as a little Seamaster collection (bit of an expensive idea I guess!!) I was trying to get my birth year watch and this was the nearest to 1964 that I considered good enough quality to pull the trigger. It keeps great time and I’m very happy with it.

Mine has +6s/day which is great. Cal. 601 inside. And it's tiny (33mm), but it's ok for my wrist and tastes.

That’s good and similar to mine which has the Cal.552 ref 14765
