Been buying Omega since May 1991. Love them and Hamiltons which my dad introduced to me.

I need advice. I do not have a blue face watch. I am torn between these two choices - what would you suggest?

First choice - Seamaster DIVER 300M- CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER 42 MM 210.32.42.20.03.001CO‑AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER 42 MM for $4900

OR
HAMILTON Blue Khaki Navy Frogman Auto on sale for $650 and Speedmaster- Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 42 mm 310.32.42.50.01.001MOONWATCH PROFESSIONAL- CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER CHRONOGRAPH 42 MM for $5900 - based on my budget for the year.

I vote for the Seamaster. Have you thought about a Planet Ocean instead of the 300 SMP? Darker blue dial but I really like it

The SMP was and will always be my first love, but both of those are great options.

If you're looking to expand your collection's scope, the Hamilton/Speedy duo - if not, my heart still votes for the SMP.

Let us know how it goes! 😀

Two very different options. The Seamaster Professional Diver 300m (“SMPc”) and the Speedmaster Professional are both classics. I own both. The Speedy Pro has better historical chops and it’s a rugged, reliable chronograph. From a technological perspective, the SMPc is a lot more watch for the money than the Speedy Pro, but it’s less of a tool watch and more of a desk diver. It’s also a better all rounder than the Speedy Pro and can be worn in a variety of settings whereas the Speedy Pro is a classic tool/sports watch. That being said, the Speedy Pro is an icon in horology and the only other tool watch that has similar cult status is the Rolex Submariner. The SMPc does not have the iconic status of the Speedy Pro even though the Seamaster line is older than the Speedmaster line. Bottom line: if you want status, get the Speedmaster. If you want cutting edge technology, get the Seamaster. Both are great watches and you really can’t go wrong with either.

I'm confused if you want a blue watch or are looking at two blue dials and one black dial watch. The 300m is a very fine watch. Of your two divers choices I would choose the Omega. Otherwise get this blue Snoopy.

If you're trying to fill the void of the blue dialed watched in your life, I would have to vote for the Seamster Professional.

Hard for me to say, as I love and collect mainly chronographs but if you are after a blue dial watch go with the SM 300M.

I have some other blue dial watches so I didn’t go for it myself but I do really REALLY like it. Especially in the configuration you have shown

Hi and welcome. Blue dialed smp for me. Buy it on bracelet and add the rubber strap (or see if they will Chuck it in).

that said, you can’t go wrong with either option
