and I have definitely been bit by the watch bug. Just bought my first Omega to add to my stable, and I went with a one year old Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200. I was in Vegas last week and was totally intrigued by this very peculiar watch I saw out there. Came home, did tons of research, and now the baby is on its way to me. Its a huge watch and I hope my wrist enjoys the workout. happy new year to all. paul

Damn! If you go diving with that watch you won't need a weight belt!

Not my cup of tea, but just make sure the warranty card is stamped and dated by an AD or the warranty will be invalid

Welcome fellow inmate. By the way,

That is one seriously nice watch. Make sure your second is a speedmaster professional.

Welcome to your first of many Omega watches. I love the ploprof 1200. You should also take a look at the ploprof 600.

It wears quite well, one of my most comfortable watch.

I love the 1200. The clasp is the finest available on any piece, at any price, in my opinion, and the shrouded lugs make it wear much more comfortably than its size and weight would suggest.

The 8500 movement is quirky in that it does not have a quick set date, so if it's worn in rotation (I'm sure this won't be your daily), that's something to get used to.

The movement is bulletproof but servicing it is quite dear when the time comes.

You won't see them in the wild often and its a great conversation piece.

I love it. Feels and wears great. After just 3 days it's fast becoming my favorite. .. many people ask about it and it has a great story to go with it. Will put in rotation with my panerai ' s and 2 new u-boat as well.. my poor submariner and my tudor black bay will have to fight for wrist time now...
