...not that I’m going with this one but would like to more more about it...

Google is going to be your friend here @Walrus - general rule of thumb if you'd like to pick the hive mind, is to have at least had a try at unearthing some information of your own. 👍

Getting back on track....back when that kind of watch was popular the fashion world was obsessed with brands like Bvlgari, Cartier, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and others, and those houses made watches for the market, always third party suppliers. They were usually vermeil, or plated base metal cases, and fitted with cheap quartz movements or maybe an ETA. They have no horological value.

How about the Louis Vuitton flying tourbilon minute repeater?

Or any multitude of Cartier's offerings, such as the Santos, which is reportedly the first ever wristwatch

Back in the 80s and 90s when the OP's watch was being marketed the houses mentioned were not producing great stuff. Even Cartier was making watches with avg ETA type movements. Great styles but blah mechanisms. And their big line was the "must de Cartier", plated tank style cases, mineral crystal and usually cheap quartz movements. You can't compare these guys from 20+ years ago with todays production.

No not really just trying to gather info on warctches I don’t know but if you prefer not to answer other than sarcastic that is fine. Like I said it’s not interest in buying I am inquiring about I’m just trying to learn Sorry if you didn’t care for my question

Walrus, reviving this thread to offer some info/defense of your curiosity, and also lightly disagree with Evitzee's exclamation that this watch has zero horological value.

The watch you originally inquired about is some unknown version of a 'Bvlgari Bvlgari', which watch was designed by Gerald Genta. Genta also designed, among other things (and his own brand), the AP Royal Oak, the PP Nautilus, the IWC Ingenieur, and several models of the Omega Constellation - aside from many other impressive Bvulgari models (including the Octo line). So at least in this respect of the watch's designer, it would be unfair to say it has no horological value.

Setting aside the watch's designer, the line of 'Bvlgari Bvlgari' watches have undergone many iterations, some more or less horologic-ally interesting than others. Some were quartz (generally found to be uninteresting around these parts), and some may be too beat up from use (which your originally posted watch picture suggested was the case here, though the photo was a bit hard to make out).

I for one would seriously respect anyone with an extensive collection of Genta designed watches (including many from his own company, before it folded/was subsumed ultimately into Bvlgari). And, no one should fault you for potentially noticing, unprompted, something intriguing about any watch designed by Genta.

Sorry you met so much static, especially on a forum as otherwise usually friendly as OF.

It’s all good. When I first joined I was going through several negative things and my head wasn’t on right. I deserved any slacking I got. No hard feelings. Now that I’m back to “normal” everyone here has been very cool. You reminded me bumping this back up I need to get down and check out this little store again. They have a bunch of beat up bad redialed watches but they always have a couple cool things at a good price and no tax if you pay cash. But yeah I just put that watch up as I know little about the brand other than seeing frequent ads in the economist

I have a Bvlgari Bvlgari as I am a Genta fan.

Here is mine with some of my other Genta-designed pieces.

Bulgari is actually quite popular in the Philippines as well as Hong Kong. We had a few Diagono and Scuba models as well as the aluminum divers and chronos.
