Today I spotted what appeared to be a Monaco in the wild, though only from a distance. It had all the hallmarks of the Monaco (again, at least from that distance), except that the dial was white and the sub-dials appeared blue/black (again, unsure from that distance). It was also on a bracelet. The "new" Monaco's appear to only come in blue or black dials. Anyone know what the watch may have been, Monaco or not? It looked great - like a Monaco panda. I tried to get a shot, but from my distance and mis-focus it doesn't offer much assistance: For what it's worth, it was on this guy's wrist . . . older Italian men really get in there!
Maybe a Tag Heuer not Heuer? https://www.chrono24.com/en/tagheue...co--mod158.htm&models=158&manufacturerIds=236
Could go either way, as far as I know... I wonder if that limited edition also came in a version with darker sub-dials? Otherwise looking spot on.
Hi. No, there is no Panda Monaco, but there are several TAG Heuer/ modern models with a Silver dial- Gavin has linked one of them above. Silver dial There is this model- but its an all-Silver dial- more of a White than the model above: http://www.calibre11.com/rare-tag-heuer-monaco-limited-editions Then there is this model- again, an all-Silver dial: http://www.calibre11.com/tag-heuer-monaco-re-edition/2/ There is one vintage possibility- Silver dial with one sub-dial: http://www.calibre11.com/heuer-monaco-1533g/2/ White Dial http://www.calibre11.com/monaco-stripes http://www.time-trade.com/tagheuer/mon3.html There is only one version of the watch Gavin linked- no other model with darker sub-dials Cheers dc
