happy new year to all of you!
To kick things off in 2023 I'd like to offer one of the iconic chronographs of the last century: a Heuer Carrera 3647N
It’s the clean black dial variation powered by the column wheel movement Valjoux 92. The movement runs accurate and all functions work as they should. However the service history is unknown to me.
from what I can see the 36mm case hasn’t been messed with and all the lines and edges are very crisp. The serial number is also still visible and very pronounced. It’s in the sun 58k range which makes it an early one. This lines up perfectly with the original non signed crown and the form of the case back. So this is a very original early example.
Dial and hands are in great shape and nothing has been done to them as far as I know. Please assess the pictures carefully and draw your own conclusion but I’d be surprised if it differs much from my description.
