Heuer BOR bracelet too short

Dear OF members.

A while ago I sold this increadibly cool watchmaking school of Solothurn version of the Heuer Carrera 1153S. This particular watch was an end of studies project that would crown 5 whole years of dedicated studies in the aforementioned school near Grenchen.

As expected, the parts used are all supplied by Heuer such as the case, case back, pushers, bracelet and probably the blank dial which would later display the school’s name. Curiously, these Slothurn « Carreras » came with a Hamilton Cal.12 inside instead of a Heuer signed one.

As the title implies, I would need advice about the bracelet, as the buyer found it a bit small for his wrist. Ideally I think our best bet is to find spare links for this elongated BOR type which I imagine, would extremely hard (if not impossible) to find.

I cannot post a thread in the WTB section of the forum but any leads on spare links would be greatly appreciated. Alternatively, I welcome any further suggestions to expand the bracelet by a few centimeters for example, by using some kind of clasp extension etc.

Thank you all in advance and best regards from Luzern.

Stefan.

I'd suggest you set up an eBay search for Gay Feres bracelet and hope for the best. That's what the GF marking on the clasp stands for.

Just an idea, but you can find a similar sized, generic 7 row BoR bracelet and sacrifice it for a couple of links. Those are cheap enough to experiment with. At least the watch will be wearable while you source for an original link.

I have had differing degrees of success/failure with clasp extenders but on the plus side they are cheap as chips sò well worth a try as a stop gap.

I am similarly lacking in posts to be able to put in wtb or sales ads, I have various Omegas plus other watches over the years sold elsewhere as a result- one day I’ll get the required post number
More Importantly I had a rummage in my watch parts box as I was sure I brought some a while ago when I needed some - difficult to find .
I can help depending on how many are needed and where you are located

Buckle extension is your best bet by far. They're pretty well unnoticeable unless you know they're there and an easy fix for a problem like this.
