Hi Speedy experts, new to forum but have a few Omegas I will share in the near future. Have a recent acquisition which I think is totally legit, but perhaps with a service faux pas. Not one I mind and will be desperate to change, but wondering if the experts could help identify and opine on if I should worry. Not great pics, watch is in transit, not in my hands yet but bought and paid for.

Sorry. Maybe a bit too Cryptic. 3572.50 with Tritium dial, should be fine, but
I don't think the Chrono hand is correct. Any one who knows better can let me know and any other anomalies with what's there? Does the setup look like its correct for the model number?

Yes these originally came with tritium hands and dial. The dial is clearly still tritium, but hard to say on the hands. They aren't a new set because the hour recorder hand looks damaged, so not sure if the main 3 hands have been changed or if the tritium has just not aged the same.

Not sure you can tell until it arrives really...

Hi. Thanks. Good spot I didn't notice that. I assume an easy repair. Agree not sure if hands are Luminova. But noted the drop Chrono hand instead of flat so assuming Luminova not tritium. Assuming 3572.50's never had a drop chrono hand?

on the first pic, the lume of the hands also seem to be aged.

Hopefully hands are tritium. Just can't tell in pic. Once you get it in your hands you will be able to tell very quickly.

Either way, watch does look nice with those hands.

What's up with the drop Chrono though?

Thanks Guys. I'm hoping for tritium hands too.

Drop Chrono hand was only early models I've read. Up to early 70's.

    Some info on speedmaster101.

This would suggest service hands and likely Luminova.

I'll try some lume pics once on hand.

    Cheers

Easy way to check for luminova. Charge the watch with a flashlight, if it's still glowing after 4 minutes in the dark it's luminova. Tritium might be very faint at that point. Tritium will lose almost all charge in 15 seconds luminova will stay very bright for awhile.
