Not a fan of this particular example. Case has a huge dent on the lower left lug, gold cap is worn out on the tips of some of the lugs, and rotor shows wear. :( Maybe $350?

Not a fan of the 500 and 501 because of winding issues, but they can be minimized if a shorter service interval is used. The dial of that watch is pretty damn nice but the rest of the watch is mediocre at best. Kyle spotted one of my tells - scrapes on the rotor which indicate wear in the automatic system. I wouldn't go more than $400 for it, and that's ONLY if I had another example that was in need of the dial, then I could swap and sell the bad one for a couple hundred to recoup some of the cost of making one nice & correct version.

I did notice the gouged lug, I can't decipher how bad is the gold cap. I'd be willing to hand $350 for it but that would be a long stretch from the asking price of £ 1250.

While the Seamaster scripting looks OK. I have to agree with Hoi, the minute markers are all over the place in size and the AUTOMATIC looks a bit wanky.
