These are really things of beauty. Was able to handle one once, the way it is put together is a marvel of craftmanship.

The one you posted here has a very common construction. I had quite o few of those. I had found only one other on the Internet years ago made exactly as this one. It was a Cartier and sold for over $8000 years ago.
