    It looks like an Omega Goliath/Crystal Ball from 1904 which I believe was designed to hang from a stand. This page has a picture on the right. http://www.omegamuseum.com/first-100-years As to originality and/or value, I have no idea.

    There are many popular fakes of the crystal watch around but I feel that this is genuine, however I would beed to see the back of the watch to be sure.
