By any chance, did your uncle give it to you?

I fixed the title and deleted your other thread.

Looking at that makes me think "watcj" was the proper word for that thing though.

Hate to deliver bad news, especially when someone says it was a gift from a spouse.

It's a fake, and doesn't seem to be a very good one.

On the real watch, the large seconds hand does not move unless you activate the chronograph. The small sub dial on the left is where the seconds should be ticking away.

the left dial only seems to work when I operate the chronograph have no idea what the right dial is for and it makes no noise at all but had for 24hrs now and keeps good time have to grin and bear it as was an anniversary present

Yeah, that's not right. The chronograph has nothing to do with the left sub dial. The right dial has hours and minutes for the chrono.

At the end of the day, it's the thought that counts. Hopefully she didn't get tricked into buying what she thought was a real watch.

That's all assuming that the entire story is true, but I'm trying to suppress my inner forum cynic.

If she paid serious money for it you need to return it.

If people see you wearing it they'll think you're a tool for wearing a fake watch (well, watch nerds will).

More people wear fake watches than real ones and the number of people that would ever notice is miniscule.

We notice because we care. I've noticed some extended family members with fake tags and even a fake hublot once. Called them out. They don't care at all. They can fool everyone, but they can never fool themselves.

Unfortunately this is a really common fake I've seen. There was never a 007 limited edition PO chronograph, which is the first big hint. I've seen a guy on Instagram with this and he was none too happy when he found out.

I'd make sure you all can contact whomever she bought it from and get the situation resolved :( sorry.

As others have said, it's a fake with a Japanese quartz movement. I hope your wife didn't pay much for it.

If his wife paid 4K for it you damn well better return it! If she paid 150$ then by all means keep it.
