Help with vintage Omega.

My father gave me this watch, which belonged to my great-grandfather. What is certain is that it definitely dates back to before 1955. However, I cannot find any images or references that are identical to it. In the images I do find, there is always some detail that differs. Only think I know is that it is a 18k gold. I took it to a jeweler friend to have it opened, but I still couldn't find a reference anywhere corresponding to this approximate date. Does anyone have any ideas?

Serial # puts it in the mid 1940's and would be a Gentleman's Watch.

Case appears to be a locally manufactured case or this Omega movement was fitted to it at some point in time.

Dial has had some moisture damage

Where are the 18kt hallmarks?

As Texas said. Possibly the original case was damaged and a new one made

Caliber 30T2. Under the balance

Fixed lugs, so bracelet ends just crimp to lock in.

Incorrect small second hand. Can find a nicer generic vintage crown. Signed plated and meh match to gold

Photos of the hallmarks would give us an idea of the country the case was made in and potentially find where the watch was retailed from. As for date of manufacture, you will need to look up the serial number on the mechanism.

I disagree, the regulator is banked hard over to the Advance/Fast position, often done as a watch slows down due to solidified lubricants or wear. This is indicating the need for a service.
